So sometime in the next 6 months or so, when I have an area where I can do some wrenching, I plan on replacing my sagging coil springs.

I have already put some coil over rear shocks on, and that lifted the rear some. It has also made for a much softer ride.

The front coil springs are sagging I believe, and there is a very noticeable rake to it now.

I am wanting to lift the front to level with the rear, or as close as I can come.

Something I can do without any other mods other than swapping coil springs, and maybe a spacer on each of the torsion bars. It would have to also be able to be correctly aligned.

Comfortable ride would be nice too.

I've read some things about 1st gen cummins springs, moog 7272 van springs, and air shocks.

Any suggestions or advice?

Then what the hell is the bar that runs from the lower control arm to the front of the frame? The bar that keeps the control arm from bending when you brake. Sway bar bolts to it also. I've always thought it was called a torsion bar?

Original question in short. What can 2wd do for moderate lift?

strut rod or strut bar

if you want it level find 2 of the rubber coil spring spacers and add them to the new coil springs.

That is only there to "Triangulate" the lower control arm. Vehicles with Coils springs dont have torsion bars that Ive seen yet.

As for lifting the front of a 72-93 you can use Coil spacers and or or 1 ton coils

I had lifted my '77 D150 back in 1990 when I was in school still... Superlift used to make lifted coils back then...in the olde days.
