Building a 416 street/strip stroker for a buddy and when checking today using micrometer on crank and inside mics on the torqued mains I'm getting .002 and would like to have .003 so wondering if anyone makes an X or .001 340 main bearing. If not I can take it back to the machine shop and have them align hone it again and get another . 001.

yes clevite does Wade MS540HXK.

I think I bought some real cheap years ago. Might still have some I will look.

That x bearing is a over size not under.

ok, maybe I stated what I needed wrong, I need .001 more clearance, so the X bearing will give me .001 more clearance. From .002 to .003.

Yes... "X" bearing is .001" bigger. I've used them on both of my last two 360 builds to get the clearance up.

You can mix and match them with the regular bearings to dial in .0005".

Does anyone have the part# for the standard size main set? This would be for a 4" stroke crank. Jim

#MS-1266 HGX were the .001" thinner main bearings I used on my 360 based build from Clevite
