Thanks guys, The photos help a lot. I realized when I looked at it again that I was overthinking it. I will just use a fastener from the side as shown and hook the return spring into the space between the jaws. I will put the screw in with blue or purple loctite or a locknut as I will not want to tighten it too much against the jaws or they will bind, they need to be able to pivot. If this is a bad idea please let me know. Here are some photos below. I will have to change the angle of the bracket piece as I made it to fit the old Performer RPM manifold but that is just a matter of rotating, drilling, and tapping a little bit of aluminium. The engine is obviously not in the car yet but trying to anticipate. Oh, I will definitely be checking for full throttle. General layout, carbs are sideways mounted Ultra HP 600's Closeup of bracket and lever as is. The lever is on a spline so I can change that as needed and there are two attachment locations so that is one way to address any cable travel issues I suppose: Cable end, stock Mopar:

I would put some one to step on the gas pedel to see if you get full throttle
you might need to readjust ,not the same as you pulling open the throttle
as long as the throttle bracket to cable don't interfere your good
to me the cable is short and the link is long and bottems out on the manifold
but you need some one to press on the throttle first
1.39 9.85 - 137 mph
