Myself,I would increase the blower speed and if you
want you can change the gear to the 3.73 but that would
be about it.. its your wifes car and I dont know if
you would want to spring for a conv.. then start tuning
to get the max out of what you have.... JMO

Yeah, drive ratio would get the boost in earlier in the RPM range its at now.

I don`t know if I could hook-up more boost down low without making the chassis more drag freindly.
have MT ET DragRadials 295/75`s on there now.

But also need to explore jetting/timing/shift points etc.... Wouldn`t be suprise to see a couple 10ths left in it.

Quaker City actually goes uphill and traction is 50/50 most days.
All else equal Norwalk or Columbus would be at least a 10th and a couple mph as is.....

Being that your all stock (shocks included) its real
hard to tune in the chassis

Yep,,,, I have found that if I put the pinion snubber on it won`t even try to hook up.

Cant you change your pulley ratio to get boost sooner
and more of it... whats that little blower worth for
max pressure

Ratio is 2.13 to 1.
I`ve seen 2.42 to 1.
Read some SBF/SBC stuff on YellowBullet that got 10/13lbs. out of them. But they spum the blower 16,000 rpm with Alcohol/E-85 set-ups.

I was thinking if I could get a converter made that was soft enough to minimize the drop on the shifts yet act stockish on the highway it could pickup quit a bit.
Choose the 3.33 gear for street manners,I think 3.73 would really wake her up. IF i could get traction.
Chassis is STOCK..shocks/sway-bar/battery in front/heavy everythingetc......
Really starts to pull at the 1,000 ft mark,Guessing if I could get it to use 5,200/5,500 shifts it would really fly.
Also could be its too rich/not enough timing and its that late in a pass till it gets into its sweet-spot.

Its only been 14-hours and I`m already thinking about a roll-bar and gears and converters and cams and divorce,,,cause the wife will kill me if I ruin "her" car LOL

Old habits die hard....

Don't worry about the divorce. You don't have much she would want anyway. Put a cage in it and go bang on it!

Seriously though, very cool. About time something worked right on that car.

I had that (same) blower on my Charger back in 1990 to about 1994, it ran flawlessly, even drove it back & forth to the Mopar Nationals from Charlotte.

As I remember B&M said not to exceed about 14000 rpm blower speed and I would turn the 440 about 5300-5500, I tell you it was really fun with a 4 speed, could not get it to hook back then but it was really QUICK through the middle as yuo can imagine 600+ lb/ft to be...and it loved light misty rain days and was unbelievably responsive on the highway. It was a lot of fun and would have liked to put it on a low deck with Stage VI's.
