The motor that was in it when I bought it is a '68 b body three speed motor. 1970 Challenger Convertible soon to be T/A convertible Contrary to the opinions of some, I am not dumber than I look.

I'm not really all that concerned about part numbers, but jest get one that fits. The one I have definitely needs to be redone. According to the '68 Chrysler parts book, both gtx6970 and mopar70rtse are correct. It shows A & B bodies use the same motor and the variable speed / 3 speed as the same part#. A quick Google search using #3004114 found 2 available (depending on your budget ). The visual resto on those is not too hard. The can is black and the rest can just be fine glass bead blasted.
