What size O-Ring was OEM for 727 dipsticks? There is one that is close in my O-Ring kit, but it is a little small. Mine is leaking so I would like to get the correct one if possible.

Thanks! I guessed and used a 113 (.755" OD and .103 thick). So I should be good to go.

I will know soon if I fixed the leak.

I like the boot seals that the later transmissions use.

You can't use that without modifying the dipstick.

when I put together a 727 I makes sure the dipstick hole in the trans and the dipstick are oil free , put on the o ring the tube and put a big bead of copper type RTV around the tube below the o ring , put the tube it and let it sit over night in it's secured position , no leaks .

A friend picked up one from a dealer and I thought it was square. My memory isn't the best though.

You're thinking about the trunk lid rollers.

But my memory isn't the best though.
