Crizila OP master Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 7,506 Az	Their 5 o'clock news reported a 2 car crash on a public street in Phoenix was caused by "drag racing". I immediately jumped in to their [Edited by Moparts - Family Friendly Site - Keep it clean] with an E-mail explaining the difference between drag racing and street racing - again. They must have been paying attention this time, because a rerun of the 5 o'clock news at 6:30 referred to it as a "street racing" accident. Fastest 300

As long as there is free will and automobiles it's going to happen. There will be accidents and fatalities. Same as there is in most sports or activities. There are worse activities to participate in. But just as anything else in life there a those that use a little common sence and those that are idiots. The idiots are the ones you generally see on the news. I say those that have never participated in a illegal activity on the street should throw the first stone. Getting old just means you were smarter than some and luckier than others.

It was stupid and didn't prove crap - and it is still stupid and still doesn't prove crap. It's also illegal ( undeniably )and gives our sport a bad name - and reputation. FYI, our sport was founded on getting street racing off the street and in to a safer, controlled environment. Been around longer than most on this thread / sight and seen the down side of it many times - including some personnel experiences. Those that condone it are not doing the sport any favors - and will remain high on my stupid list! "worse activities" - sure. You could always take a long walk off a short peer. The "idiots" you are referring to are the ones that are doing it. Fastest 300

I didnt see your edit .... but I watched it once and said it sucked... then someone here said it was much better this year so I watch 1/2 of a show.. it still sucked and that was the last time for me

I don't condemn people that do street race or doubt their intelligence. I try not to throw rocks as my house may not be glass but it definately has windows. I will never street race w/people standing in ft. or on the sides of our cars............period.
