I am in the process of taking the roof skin off my car and wonder if anyone has heard of using a windshield removal tool to cut the adhesive between the roof skin and the ribs?? Comments would be appreciated.

I would say it would depend on how crusty hard the seam sealer is that they used. I have done a few roofs and I just run my sawzall with a long blade through it. Makes short work of it.

Sweet suggestion and one that seems to be effective without using a lot of extra muscle work. Thanks.

Heat the area where the sealer is and it will release. You can use a propane torch. If replaceing the roof skin, heat the skin at the sealer spots and you can use the old sealer as a base.
