If my memory serves me the place is called Classic Auto Air. I bought one for my 70 because OEM ones are impossible to find. They make one that is a copper tube and alum finned replacement. It is pricey but that is all we have. Buy a new mixing valve as well. They can leak, too. I may have a pic on the computer.

What are you talking about. They are all over the place. Including ebay...

My point exactly. That is not an OEM heater core. That is the one that Classic auto Air repops. It is way more expensive than the original brass heater core.

A few deades ago, if I needed a new heater core, a radiator shop would fabricate one exactly like the OEM using my original nozzles.

Might be able to do that nowadays if you can find a capable radiator shop run by an old timer.

Caveat: BE SURE to pressure test before you go to the trouble to re-install it! I had a few apparently pass the pressure test at the shop, then fail another test a few days later.

And my point is that it will be a lot cheaper than an original brass OEM heater core because you'll never find one.

Plus....
The OEM brass ones leaked given long enough. Like the aluminunum OEM REPLACMENT ones given long enough.

You won't own that car long enough.

I bought one from Year One. Expensive but no other alternatives. I still have my original if somone recores them. Not sure if it is good or not but wasnt going to take the chance after tearing apart the heater box and reinstalling it.
