Hey guys!

I'm putting powers steering on my '69 Super Bee. I have a Saginaw pump, brackets, and a pulley that seems to line up with my crank pulley.

My issue is that my (unknown origin) 3-spoke pulley is approximately 6" in diameter. I only raise this as in issue because my dad has a '70 Coronet R/T with a 440 and power steering, and the pulley diameter on that is more like 7".

Anyway, is the diameter of the pulley even a concern? Is the 6" pulley that I have the one I want, or should I be looking for a different diameter?

I am not concerned with correct part #s, or looks, I just want it to function correctly.

Thanks!

I think the most common that I recall seeing is 6 1/4". I have oodles of derilict P/S pumps here and most are that size. I have also seen a few 7" or so and ONE that measures 5".

I'm going to assume that as long as the PS pulley lines up with the crank pulley that the diameter is not terribly important then.

I think the pump I have is from a small block now that I think of it... the brackets I removed from it were from a small block anyway.

Thanks for the help!
