Hey everybody here is my question. I want to convert my stock 361 big block to a 4 barrel instead of the 2 barrel that is on it now. I am wondering what intake manifold you guys would recommend? I am going to put a 600 cfm carburetor on it ( afraid of overcarbing the motor). I saw an offenhauser Dual Port intake on ebay for a good deal, never really seen one of those before, anyone have experience with it? I do want to get an aluminum manifold, Dual Plane(it is a street car). Edelbrock performer or performer RPM? I would like to go with a vintage hot rod look if possible as well. Thank you!

I have two both work well the Torker 2 and the TM 6....old designs but they flow well and give good power...and they can usually be had cheap too

What car? What gear? I'm assuming your 65 & a 3.23 which means the dual plane is a good choice...Performer or I believe the old low deck edelbrock was the DP4B...

no this is for the 56 Belvedere that has the 361 in it. It has stock gears as far as i know, bone stock motor with a 2 barrel on it now. I'm thinking a performer intake with a 600 cfm carb, but i would like to pick up something vintage as i am trying to go with the vintage hot rod look with the car any ideas?...thanks!

That Offy Dual Port could be a good intake. I've been running one on my 360 for 7 years. Torquey. It has small runners for the primaries for MPG's. Funny how Offy built this design way back when, and several Ford products have a similar set up on some of the 4 bangers now. It is a single plane yet it has excellent low end. IIRC it didn't give up much in the article listed above. Offy is offbeat and to me that adds the cool factor! In a 50's car? Double the cool factor!

Yes i would really like to find an offenhauser 360 for the 56...I think it would fit in perfectly with the look i am going for...now to hopefully find one! On my research offenhauser 360 makes good power and help the engine run very nice..that with a 600 cfm carb sounds like a winning combination to me!
