The radials in the link below are the ones I am talking about...I think street driving on the cheapy tires is more dangerous then racing them, thats just my opinion though

My post above has a direct link to the 26" radial front runners that are on my Charger. The work just fine and are ok in a light rain if you are respectful and have the brake proportion set up correctly.

Didn't even notice that sorry lol...Yea apparently they are a pretty good tire. I would rather run those then the cheapies, a little more peace of mind I feel like

I had some cheap Les Schwab tires on the front and they felt funny at higher speeds no matter what the air pressure was. Also that was after I rebuild the front end, etc. I currently have the M&H's on a 3.5" rim but have been keeping an eye out for a set of 4" Prostars for the front.

Check out the Vredestein Sprint from Coker. They have a 165/15, basically an old sports car/VW tire with a vintage appearance. Kind of looks a Sportsman front but it's a radial. I think they have a decent speed rating. About $115 each, not a bad price. A cheaper alternative to a Michelin XZX.

I am running Lemans 165 R15 and would like to go to a slightly taller MT Sportsman Front tire. Does anybody know which one I should buy.

The 165 tire is 25.5 tall and a sportsman is available in 26.

Thanks 1967DartGT, I have been having a problem Red lighting and thought going to a taller tire might help.

I put a Mickey Thompson tire on the front of mine. It's not the SR, but I can't remember the name. No street miles to say how they do. I did learn that I shouldn't have put them on, seeing how the rears won't be hooking with the Street radials on the back and a stick.
