I ran both a set of 165SR15 on 4 inch front race rims and a set of the 26x15 M/T ET front drag race tires on another set of either 3.5 or 4.00 wide front race rims on the street and strip. Oregon doesn't have much of a law enforcement effort on hot street cars, especially on the east side of the Cascades, no vechicle inspections for licensings either

I ran some Falkens for awhile, Flat spotted them when I spun the car. The car has Nexens or something on it now 165/85? They came from discount tire.

Mine are just a plain old radial street tire. I did not buy a race type tire for the front of mine since I drive it on the street alot I bought a tire for the street driving that will go down the track now and then and not a race tire for racing that would see street time. I gotta go out in the garage and look to be sure but I believe they are 215/75-15's. Since I use a radial slick in the back the car handles great on the street or track. The front Torque Thrust are 15 x 6 wheels. Ron

I run the 28" tall M/T Sportsman front bias tire.
Most of the 165R15 radials are only 25" tall. I think M/T has a 26" tall S/R radial front...they do not have anything taller than that in a radial skinny.

I think for the street any good speed rated tire is better than a race tire and have only 1"-1 1/2" smaller dia. than the rear.
