I'm calling the project 'A piecework orange' Was trying to make it go with a 1500.00 budget... Not gonna make that, I'm at just under 2k but I think its close to making noise again, last time it ran was feb 07. Took a week to dig it outa the garage

Can`t wait to hear it rumble............not a boat guy myself and even found a friend to buy my roomies boat so I can have some damn room in the "shack" to work on my junk.

L0L, Boats were a bad idea a friend says! I run a small boat repair shop so I can attest to that one Yep maybe a week from fire up time here! Trying to run it feb 22 at the 'new' local track Green Cove Raceway, or some such

I bought myself a 15 1/2 foot fishing boat in 2010 when I retired. If that dog-gone thing doesn't hit the water this year I'm planting tomatoes in it.

I'm hoping to get a 5 outa it! not sure what can be done with this head, it did run 5.90's with out of the box indy sr so im guessing it should be close??? these 906's are 'supposed' to be about maxed out

Heyy 9 sec. yep same car/shortblock. a little smaller cam in it. I was drooling over those nice M/T valve covers you had for sale, my mopar ones went missing maybe there here but I haven't found them yet.

Looks good, next time bolt the intake on it and use a carb lifting plate, if you can.

Makes it so much nicer not leaning over the fender and grill as much.

Matter of fact I bolt all kinds of stuff to my motor before taking it off the stand, my back thanks me. All possible with a carb lifting plate.

Congrats for getting back on it!!

Oh yea, put the stocker valve covers back on instead of the moroso's.

I know you didn't ask for my opinion, but you got it anyway. lol

I doubt i'll ever be a hard core racer, but we have a big once a month street cruse 10 minutes from the house I'll go to... also make some drag strip laps a few times this year!

sorta, the headers are for a tall deck raised port motor. supposedly fit a body stock front and then he changed to a tube k member and said it still fit, they sure dont fit a lo deck anything with out some fab work. tube hits the motor mount on this combo so not a good pic of what it would look like installed

Glad you kept the car. And good to see you putting something back together to get on the track for some fun this year.

I have a '73 Barracuda with a 440, street driven. I have often said I will park it and cover it up for years before I sell it. I couldn't afford to buy it back if I sold it.

..RT Yep when I saw Sweden I was pretty sure you ended up with the B1s, damn wish I had built it but it's in good hands! I still have the rotator and headers pack ratted just in case

Good luck! Sure has been a long winter here. Gives a guy a lot to think about! Since I can't drive my beater for another 1-3 years I am thinking that it might be time to part company with it...

Gotcha, tough call selling off an old car! Sometimes I think about all the old clunkers I got rid of and think if I had them all back.... would have a yard full of old clunkers

The old junker has come a long way. The old 446" started out running mid 12s and got down to an 11.35 with changes. It now has a Victor headed 512 RB that has run 10.15 with a mild tune. Not bad for a boat that is over 3500#

up and running, went for a ride around the neighborhood sunday evening... I had forgotten how loose it feels driving it
