Doing some modifications to my driver's side seat track for more leg room. Can the original seat studs that go through the floor be hammered out? Looking at the multiple mounting holes I assume so. I don't want to bend up the studs, they seem to be in there pretty good. Here is a pic of the track and stud.
Thanks!

Hi, That stud is called a PEM. It has a serrated area on the shank that grabs the metal when it is pressed in. You can press it out. A hammer will get it out. But the hole can warp. With a new hole in a different location, you could press in the used PEM. Good luck!

Yea, they are like little wheel studs.

Check the floor of your car, I found that my floorboard had a second set of dimples or holes in it to move the front seat back.

Haven't noticed any more holes or dimples but I'll check it out again.
Thanks
