I will start. I like 1/8 mile as it makes the racing closer and people seem to hold less.
Getting old just means you were smarter than some and luckier than others.

I've been around racing for most of my 46 years. never even saw a race run in the 1/8 mile until 1999, never raced in one until 2008, never attended an 1/8 mile only track until 2009. I would race both, but almost every big money bracket race has gone to 1/8 mile.

I grew up on 1/4 mile racing and now run both. For me I like 1/8 mile as it is not as hard on the car. The race is won on the starting line, cut the light, win the race, so any number even 1/16 mile would do. !/8 mile as I said saves $$$
it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

I have raced for many many years. I love 1/4 mile racing and still take my 1/8 mile numbers and convert them to 1/4 times and mph. With that said I love 1/8 mile racing . Much better on parts. Heck after the first 60' or so it's just a ride. LOL
