Well, this transmission came out of a 1966 chrysler 383 and I wanted to see if it is original. I found this chart online and the p/n matches 1966 but I know there is a date code and that really does not match.

Anyone know what plant the "H" represents?

2538334 = part number for '66 B & C body 361 & 383

2824563 = ?? (I believe this is a different coding system than the "normal" 8 digit DDDD=date & XXXX=unit number)

I am guessing its the original one then. 66 or 69 doesnt really matter as long as its not 71' and newer, the kits and parts are different.

Most plausible explanation for this is the trans was built at a later date as a parts room replacement.
