I just went from 3.55 gear in my 90 RAM P.U. to 4.10s. Previous best was 12.12 at 110mph with 3.55s. With 4.10s truck went 11.93 at 112 mph. This is a 410 sm block with production heads, a 727 trans and weighs 4300#. Was worth almost 2 tenths and 2 mph.

With that monster in a 3400 lb Duster I really dont think you will lose much et at all. I remember one mag has a stroker in a B-body and when they dropped from 4.30's to 3.73's it did not slow down at all. Ron

With the 512 and combo, probably 0, you may even be faster with the 3.54.

Since you want to drive it Alot, Absolutely keep the 3.54 gears.

I treid from 3.73 to 4.30 in my Duster with a pump gas 518 C.I. low deck stroker, it didn't make any noticeable differences at the track, other than spending a long time in high gear with the lower gears
