I'm wondering if SOMEBODY HERE have seen pesonally this stripes reproed by Phoenix graphix:

http://www.phoenixgraphix.com/p-d/ct311r.php

they began being priced in $400 but now price has been noticeable lowered.

I'm affraid to get dissapointed if I buy once in hands

I've not see these ones in particular in person, but all the ones I have seen in person have not been right.
I've attached a picture of a Charger that I know for sure still has the factory stripes for comparison.

so, mostly sure all those you have seen not right should be from Phoenix Graphix I guess since IT SEEMS they are the only manufacturer?

My car got this red phasered from factory and I have a NOS full right side of this stripe. I installed white reflective last time, but really would wish to get the phasered one again on my car.

but definitelly not if doesn't look right.

this for example is simply wrong, but dunno the manufacturer.

wrong phasered printting pattern, wrong Charger word shape, and wrong outline color ( should be black )

Not that I have a charger, but I got my RR stripes from Performance Car Graphics, David Patik - he will send you samples of the stripes, he uses 3m, he'll talk to you as much as you want about what your looking for, and then prints whatever you want if its not in stock. I got flat black stripes printed for the same cost nearly as buying off of Phoenix.

I'm overseas.. Sent them an email requesting for a sample pic of the actual product twice... still no answer.

I don't trust on whatever they can say, I want to SEE AND DETAIL what I can buy.

$300 plus shipping is too much money to be dissapointed

It's difficult to tell too much from a picture, but upon examining the reflective stripes of the white Charger you linked to in your post, I have this opinion to offer: It looks like the stripes are very good starting at the quarter panel. Then they get darker about the center of the door. What looks not quite right to me is how they transition from the door to the fender. Seems not gradual enough of a change. Again this is just a picture and it's hard to tell.

Is there any way you can scan or have scanned the NOS stripe so that someone with a graphics shop could reproduce it? I have a local guy who has done some awesome work for me. I could put you in touch with him if you can produce a file.

hey quap!!! long time!!!

here I posted some pics. Phoenix Graphix sent me some pics of their repros which looks quite good BUT the red shade

http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,107705.0.html

Scan this stripes is not easy, being reflective mostly sure the color won't come up for real.

If Phoenix Graphics crew can make the correction of the red shade like this ( and like the yellow charger pic posted by Gabmando )

http://www.classic-caronline.com/images2_bkp/74_2.jpg

against this which seems to be their repro:

http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=31350.0;attach=49622;image

I'll go with the red/yellow replacing the white one I had

I think the diff is noticeable even in their first ad ( black car was used on their first ad http://www.phoenixgraphix.com/users/uploadpics/7374cghrref.jpg ), and is not just a light or optical effect... the red shade affects also the yellow shade

It is possible to "scan" the color or this material and dial in the exact match, but few businesses will have such equipment. I happen to work for 3M's Traffic Safety and Security Division, we make the base material.

To get this right, one would need to get the daytime and nighttime colors correct. A good operator can do this with some trial and error if they have a good standard to work towards.

I suspect these stripes are digitally printed these days. Back in the day, they would have been silk screened using our inks. The digitally printed graphics will be much less colorfast unless care is taken to protect the graphic with a UV... protection overlay.

I'd stay away from the non-3M solutions as they will surely have inferior adhesives and colorfastness.

I tried long time ago to repro this using which apparently was the original tech ( silk screen ) but it was to be really expensive to make just one set... and I had to go with white reflective on my car.

I didn't like what designers offered me locally, simply printing on a printer, what makes the pattern way diff from the original
