I am working on my winter project and ran into my first issue. When depressing the gas pedal I only get about half travel. Mopar shop that worked on it said it was the kickdown linkage which was the later 3 piece style and not the one piece rod. I was more thinking that it could be the throttle cable as the car was originally a poly 318 and now is a 383. Any suggestions? It didn't occur to me to check the 64 Fury against my 65 Coronet until I had put them away. Questions would be 1) What is the interchange for the kickdown linkage and throttle cable(early B body big block 4v or would 2v items work) as I have a 64 Fury 361 sitting next to the shop also. Thanks for the help.

With my '65 "B" body, I have the stock 273 2bbl cable on my big block sixpack setup. No problem. Just need to adjust the cable. Manual valve body though. No kickdown linkage.

Thanks guys. It sounds like maybe a little adjustment is in order. Pushbutton how did you route your heater hoses around that 3 piece linkage?
