Wofford- moved toward ctr, after a big wheelstand. A lot of smoke from the right front of the car. Apparently broke something in the corner and locked the tire up. Good job driving to keep the car out of the wall.

Just saw on classracer that Stephen lost his motor and is done for the weekend. That really is disheartening considering the time they spent developing the motor. Sorry to hear it for Stephen.

There's just something about that hemi in Super Stock that loves carnage. Seems like every year there's a horror story for someone in the class.

9:45. Parade is done and cars at the lanes. It has started to sprinkle, very light do everything on hold for the moment. Rain wasn't supposed to come through til late afternoon/evening.

Here's a random pic. Jason line and Bucky thrashing on their car this morning.

What's up with the Warphishy gang? They aren't at the top of SS/AH. Are they sandbagging/holding back, and then pick up a tenth or two in the Chootout?

another good job to charlie on your win. just shows that a good clutch, big stick, and a lot of determination will prevail.

It was great seeing everyone. Dad had a blast. Special thanks to Frito for getting me notes on some of the cars. It helped dad with announcing. A lot of the runs were really close. They put on a good show, especially in the final. Some guys will be kicking themselves over leaving tenth+ on the tree. Amazing cars and was excited to be apart of it.

McCandlessboy,
Your Dad always does a great job helping the announcers with the Hemi Challenge. He should always do it as long as he wants to. Stay in contact with Frito, and you'll know what is going on with the current SS/AH world. Mark Janaky and Dell Jones are also great resources for more SS/AH material.
Thanks Herb, and Frito.

Had a great time at the event on Fri. Although it wore me out lol! Rolled into Indy about 9pm Thurs. and was able to find a spot to park the motor home across from gate 6, up a 5am to prepare for the day. We met up with Frito at 8am ( thanks for kind of hosting us between your pit crew obligations Rick) and met some of the SSAH players. Went over to the return road for the parade lap, then to the staging lanes where Frito got us up close and personal with all the entries! Then the rain delay came so back to the motor home for lunch. Then we scurried back for 1st rd. we saw all the rds of SSAH competition and even managed to drag Frito away from his duties to meet up with Clay Milligan and his crew for a short time as they were getting ready for Fri. Nights pro rd. We left at 9pm after 1 of the nitro rails oiled the track down and I got home at 4am 1 tired puppy, complete with blisters to remind me how much ground we covered. We even met up with some Moparts members during the day! I really hope to do it again!
