So this car "was" to be the basis for a clone of a 62 Polara I had in HS in the 60's. I bought it sight unseen off ebay in SF. The pics below are on arrival are #1-3. OEM, all Polara's had a 361/4bbl and Alum 727's. This car, according the plethora of receipts that came with it, looked to be owned by a Coors executive in Spokane. He restored it in 1980, and as best I can tell, he replaced motor/trans with a rebuilt slightly warmed over 273/4spd, I assume because this was the middle of the second "gas crisis". This helped in making the car less desirable on ebay, and I didn't care, since I was planning on dropping in a 440+ with long rams. However when I got the car and drove it, plans changed, the 273 was pretty peppy and the car was rather nice, even with the crushed velour interior <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eyes.gif" alt="" />. So this is just upgrading it into a nice cruiser.

2 The wheels are AR 14x8 200S Coke bottles, not my favorite, but I'll keep them as long as they make 245/50's, unfortunately it limits rotor sizes.

11 This was our second set of Flex A Form fiberglass springs, strangely they failed as crack/split indicates, they replaced without hesitation, replacement set was made wrong, likely am using Hyperco only in the future
