Does anyone have a picture showing how where the idle solenoid is installed and positioned?
Thanks

There's a bracket that mounts on the two rear carb bolts of the front carb

Nice pic of the solinoid, but not sure what's going on with the throttle return spring bracket, the kickdown looks like a standard 4 bbl type also. Just wondering never seen that on a 340 6 pack

Thanks, I guess I'm just missing a screw that the plunger hits.
Any particular screw and adjustment for that?

Any particular adjustment on the screw?
Or just barely touching with the engine off?
Thanks

The screw is retained with a cage nut type of assy on the end of the linkage arm, you set the hot curb idle with the solenoid energized, the solenoid "drops out" when you shut the ignition off, this is to completely close the throttle blades to prevent run-on/dieseling ...you should be able to source the needed parts directly from Holley

That is a repop bracket. See how there is no bump on the edge like in the picture above. I have ran those and the problem is they can flex and change you idle seed.

1971 340 4 barrels used one of these same bolts and a roll pin rather than a second bolt to retain the DR1114429 idle stop solenoid.

Would the same nut with a captive washer that is NOT toothed, and zinc plated, also be correct? They have the identical G L head markings on them. I have about a dozen NOS ones.

I've never seen an original for that application that is not toothed. It was an important detail to keep them tightly installed.

OK, just checking. My original one(for a 71 340 manual trans) was silver zinc, not gold, I assume they came both ways. It has a toothed washer like yours.
