ademon master A Joined: Sep 2004 Posts: 6,906 IL, Aurora	Nice pic of the solinoid, but not sure what's going on with the throttle return spring bracket, the kickdown looks like a standard 4 bbl type also. Just wondering never seen that on a 340 6 pack

The screw is retained with a cage nut type of assy on the end of the linkage arm, you set the hot curb idle with the solenoid energized, the solenoid "drops out" when you shut the ignition off, this is to completely close the throttle blades to prevent run-on/dieseling ...you should be able to source the needed parts directly from Holley Mike 7959361-sixpackrebuild.JPG (98 downloads)

I have ran those and the problem is they can flex and change you idle seed. ....there is nothing like driving my 1968 Hemi Dart around town and having people looking at you like you're nuts!!

Would the same nut with a captive washer that is NOT toothed, and zinc plated, also be correct? They have the identical G L head markings on them. I have about a dozen NOS ones.
