Someone will be here soon saying that blowing a Hemi that big is just dumb and stupid.

Looking forward to watching a video of it going down the track.

It is, he would need an 18/71 for that many cubes or a screw blower. It's not efficient for performance. I am sure he is more than happy with the power it has.

Tell that to Chris Caddotto and Tim Banning." FHO" built Chris's 588" blown Hemi and he ran a 6.99. Tim Banning also recommended the 588" blown Hemi that "Performance Only" is building for me.

I didn't know he made it into the 6's on his Stage V Hemi. Last time I saw him with that motor he was running 7.80's on alcohol on 34.5x17-16 Hoosiers at 3500lbs. I believe he had already switched to the BAE Hemi by the time he ran 6's.
Roots blower are a constant displacement blower, unlike screw blowers. They become less efficient the larger the motor to blower size. They still work but they build more heat do to scavenging.
I just got the low down from Chris and yes he is running the BAE 526". I stand corrected..... my apologizes. He said he was running the 588 when he was running on the street.

Just seems to me to be an awful lot of motor for "only" 1200 horse.
Maybe I've just been spending too much time on Yellowbullet where every 5.0 or LS motor makes 3000.
My goal is 1500 but also want to putt around town to the cruise-ins and it will only see around 6500-7000rpm. As I talk to more people and do more research I might decide to drop down to 540" but would need to get a new crank. This is all part of the learning process.

It is pretty low (for what it is). There are new hemis making that power and more with the KB blowers

1500 will be all too easy to make with a blown Hemi, especially with a 14-71. The torque your motor will make will be mind boggling

Got their number??? I tell it to ANYONE.....
They all have their place, but a screw will bury that roots blower.....period.
Obviously, they weren't after maximum performance with that deal, but if they were, there would be a PSI screw up top.
