By way of back ground and to make sure on one gets upset about me being a 'paid spokesman': We (JIT Powder Coating) paint components for QA1, the suspension folks. Mods, if this is not the right place for this posting my apologies in advance.

Within the last couple years QA1 has sourced China components back to the US and significantly increased the size of their Lakeville, MN facility. Being car guys, we were thrilled to be a part of them developing new offerings and seeing them go to market.

If you were at Mopars in the Park in Farmington, MN you likely saw their booth there, displaying various Mopar related suspension components.

A few months back I was approached by QA1 engineers. They were looking for a V8 B body to use for trial fitting of all their front suspension components. I offered up my 69 Coronet. The Coronet was redone a good 18 years ago, still having it's stock, somewhat tired front suspension in place. It's a manual steering and brake car.

This first photo shows a portion of their facility, where they do a lot of their R&D work.

The guys working on the Coronet took a methodical, measured approach to the project. They removed components from the car individually, replacing each with their comparable offering, making sure each fit properly and worked with OEM and QA1 parts without issue.

In the course of the work, the car had before and after alignment checks to make sure everything stayed as it should. Here you can see their upper and lower control arms, and strut rod, as well as the torsion bar adjuster. I'm sorry to have to show you the tired looking front shocks that were on the car.

The new front subframe makes a startling difference in the appearance under the car. It weighs less than the stock one and looks great.

In the course of trial fitting everything it became apparent the original steering box was badly worn, so I purchased and provided them a replacment box.

I think my favorite part of the installation is the strut rods. They really look high tech.

QA1 also recorded a video showing the R&R using this car.

The before and after handling of the car is quite impressive. I was amazed at how much nicer it feels. The unfortunate part is winter being here, so driving time is quite limited.

The final items to try out are QA1 front shocks and they're currently working on a sway bar.

I was really pleased with the care the guys exhibited working on my car and how thoroughly they went through the entire list of components.

What all did they replace? Just the K-member and lower control arms, or everything? Sway Bars, upper control arms, etc...?

Thanks!

They replaced the upper and lower control arms, torsion bar adjusters, tie rod sleeves, strut rods and the k frame. Haven't tried front shocks yet and work is underway on a b body sway bar. Thanks for asking!

Sorry I can't take pictures as well as you do.

I have their new 1 3/8" bar on my B-body car as I have doing some real world r&d work for QA1. Very nice fit and the only big bar on the market.

Here's the link to the video made at QA1 showing some of the work they did on my Coronet. Enjoy!

I am considering QA1 Lowers let us know how it drives. On a side note do you guys know if the lowers are compatible with hotchkis adjustible struts?
