Has knowledge, inventory, some level of customer service and accountability and wants business?

It is extremely hard to spend your money if you want to buy correct nuts and bolts. I guess I could go though hundreds of e-bay auctions but I had just as soon pick up the phone and give them my creditcard and have stuff show up in a timely manner.

I'm I being unreasonable?

You already know the bad news, how about some "worse" news? MOST of the "OE" correct hardware on ebay actually isn't OE correct!

Retail isn't there primary revenue source so give them a few days to actually ship product.

Much of the AMK line is what you are seeing offered on ebay by second tier vendors. Some are correct, some are not, you REALLY need to do your homework to know whats correct for your car, don't take sellers claims of correctness as fact, verify for yourself first.

Correct, AMK supplies 99% of the venders out there on with probably 3/4 of there fasteners inventory. Myself included (past tense)

Is all of it correct for every car / engine / body line ? absolutley not.

But it's as close as you will ever get unless you use 100% of the original fasteners (not always an option)
IMO, for a vender to try to replicate every aspect of every fastener used on every manufacters model line down to the most minute detail is economic suicide.

I can think of nearly a half dozen variations on just the underhood electrical bolt by itself, Of which there is only one avail today.

AMK has a lot of bolts and nuts but not a lot of clips or other hardware.

Try R/T Speaialties. I have been happy with what he offers and is "most" times pleasant to deal with. www.RTSpeacialties.net

I used R/T Specialties successfully 20 years ago but I am still waiting 8 weeks now for my current order. Tom has stopped answering my phone calls, the only way I can reach him is to call from someone elses phone, but I am running out of friends with different area codes. It's ashame cause he has the knowledge and the product. I could easily spend $300 or so on an order today and probably a fair amount more before I finish this one. I am also working on a 67 Barracuda convertible in PA when I'm up there. I have several others I need to do and my brother has 2 GTXs in his shop and 2 Dusters waiting their turn, and he is looking to me to tell him the Mopar venders to use. I easily represent thousands in business and just need someone to take my money. Very sad, I may have to set my son up in the business just to get the stuff I need.
