markrr OP super stock M Joined: Apr 2004 Posts: 965 S.W. Pennsylvania	Does anyone know where I can get an engine stand that I can mount the engine onto and run it? I think I've seen these but don't know where. Thanks.

I bought a welder years ago and have yet to use it. I'll make this my first welding project. If it doesn't work I'll use wood. I can get plenty of good, used pieces of wood for free. Thanks.

Mine is actually an adaptation of a commercial product I was able to take measurements on. Here it is in final checkout before 440 break-in run.

They look pretty easy to make and set them up for different size engines. The frame from an engine stand off craigslist would probably help get the project started. I see them on there for 25 dollars all the time. I'd make one with square tubing & bolt it together & some of it will need to be welded & truck it to a welder or pay him to come to you if he has a portable welder. You'll still come out way ahead plus the personal satisfaction of having done it yourself live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth
