did all the 8 3/4 rears come with the axle ratio tag?
just pulled one off my 67 Belevedere and found that it is a 2.94.

You'd think if Ma did one she'd of done em all but I've sure seen alot without those tags.

me to but then a guy wonders if it was taken off before he got it or did just the rears with suregrips get them or?

I've seen a couple with just a thin piece of short metal under a non-SG stud bolt. Like a thin washer. I assumed the tags were long ago broken or simply rusted off.

Both SG and Non got them. Fragile - rustable metal and often not put back on if diff. service.

The 67 vert I just finally brought home had the tag and I was sure it was an open diff untill my second burnout where the car lit up both tires and went sideways toward my RR.

Dads '67 Belvedere II s/w had an open 2.94 w/ the tag on it. I thought the SGs had a paint mark? on the diff plus a separate tag about using the correct lube?
