Thinking about adding a 4 hole spacer to pick up some torque on a M-1 manifold that has a 1" open spacer. If so, did it help? What type? I've got room since I run a scoop. Thanks Dennis

Spacers are always one of those "it depends" type of changes. They're usually cheap enough that they don't bust the budget to buy 'em and try 'em.

Keep in mind that if you have a carb w/ a 1-3/4" baseplate (850, 950, 1000), you need to be sure the 4-hole spacer is machined for the larger butterfly size. I've found a number of them that are suitable only for the smaller 1-11/16" size (650, 750), so you need to check to see if they even specify what size bore it has.
