So I got an aftermarket oilpan for a GenII Hemi (RB) based with the typical flat mounting surface to the underside of the block. Tried to mock it up and it is totally too big to even mate up. This thing is made for something with a much wider crankcase.

Just looking for any info so I can properly describe what it is or know its useage????

This is not a thinly disguised for sale ad..... I have no idea what it would mate up to. I'm thinking Keith Black Hemi?

Thanks
Dean

It's probaly for a wide space block. I think most top fuel use a wide space pan and indy offers a wide space block option on there alum. block.Hope this helps.

If it is an aluminum block with wider pan rail it is quite likely a TFX block, also check lifter bore and main bearing diameter. If it was an older fuel block likely to have 1 inch lifter bores and 3 inch mains ) this configuration was quote common for fuel blocks post up a picture and can tell for sure

Most likely a TFX pan if it's that much wider. The KB blocks which are no longer legal for T/F still use the stock pattern as do the BAE billet T/F blocks. It would make sense for Indy to use the TFX pattern for their wide pan blocks but they may make their own pan.

my Indy Maxx block is double drilled for stock sized & a wider version on the oil pan.

OK, thanks guys!!

It is that much wider. I've considered making an adapter plate to use it but that is yet to be seen.

if it is a TFX block they make a specific pan for them also you will need a TFX specific gear drive as well
