I found a 9810S carb that was gone through by DemonSizzler, the choke was removed. The seller said it ran well on the dyno but just wasn't enough carb. for his 470 stroked Buick. He said it is an aftermarket carb.,I haven't seen it yet and was wondering if this carb has the correct Mopar kickdown and would it be a 1000 CFM?

9810s or 9801s?

last one on the list is a 1974 383? must have been a special casting run of blocks 3 years after they stopped casting them?

The seller said 9810S...But said it was an AFTERMARKET carb. from Summit racing.I didn't think Carter made aftermarket t/quads.

Sure they did.
Here's a quote I found after 35 seconds Google searching: "The aftermarket 9000 series were available in 4 models: 9801, 9811, 9800, 9810. The 9801, 9811 have Chrysler linkage (9801/9811 is EGR capable). Note: later OEM TQs model number started with a 9 as well, but are not to be confused with the aftermarket 9000 series."

I bought a new/unused 9810S at a swapmeet. It comes with an electric choke. Even though it was meant for a GM, I prefer this carb for my sb360 build. I don't see the carb linkage as being a problem. It will likely work out perfect for my cable/A500 trans swap. I am basically making this overall swap for fuel mileage considerations.

I have a competition 1000 cfm thermoquad. The linkage on it is very universal. It is a very simplistic carb when you look at it.

Too many cars, too many parts, too little coin, too little space to work in, too little time left to make it all happen! Update: down to one ride, still too many parts, a little more jingle in the pocket, gaining space, and it's going to happen this year!
