I don't run a delay box or any of that type stuff. I have heard/seen lots of people using this type of electronics. How does this stuff work?? I had a delay box in my old car, but that was before I ever heard of "Cross-talk". Just curious how this all works.

hi,
used in electronics classes, both lanes on tree 1st amber comes on at same time, for top bulb racing you put in your dial and other lane dial if your dial is quicker, delay box makes adjustment

all parts are sold as is, all parts are considered used no warranties or returns
paypal/check/money order, shipping is from zip 02891, buyer pays paypal fees 24% IRS 1099A plus 3% of part price, check/money order preferred
site is not monitored 24/7 there might be a delay in response

Sounds simple enough. No wonder it's so easy to win in that class.

That is how it is most of the time at our local track in the footbrake class. That is why I have not had very good luck.

MY findings are the same here!! That's why I'm asking questions.

That would really make you take a look at your racing program, wouldn't it?!! IS THIS REALLY WORTH THE TIME/MONEY/ETC...

Yeah the electronics classes are really easy. Just let go of the button and instant win. Then when you think you got that down come on over to the Super classes, they are a breeze, and you don't even have to worry about choosing your dial as they choose it for you..No matter what the track is or what the weather is doing.

If misery loves company, I might as well join in. I'm first round fodder most the time also. Had a first round loss with a .007 once this year. Seems most of those that do good in foot brake classes have high 11 / low 12 second cars and live at the track. Their cars are always dialed in, so it just gets down to RT., and some have a 4 year college degree in sand bagging. It's not a good sign when everyone wants to race you in the first round.

Like was said already.. you can put in both dial in's
and take the hit off his top bulb OR if you feel you
didnt hit it right you can hit on your top bulb which
gives you 2 tries for the light... BUT some tracks
dont allow it so they cover the other side of lights..
to me to run the cross over was a pain.. to double
click to get back to your light if you messed up on
his light and near the same dial in.. just not enough
time to flip over to yours... but if there is a big
difference in the dials it CAN work well(if you can
see his lights)... I pretty much just went off my light
and left the cross over off... its not all that easy

From Jeff Foster at Compulink....

“CompuLink CrossTalk” can be used in all electronics classes that use the full tree allowing top bulb cross over.

With this option the tree can stay completely blinded with the amber lights focused directly at the driver. The top amber light in each lane will activate with the start of the slower dialed cars tree countdown, the slower cars tree will continue on its normal .5 second countdown to green. The faster cars top light will stay on for the standard .5 second duration plus the amount of handicap between the two lanes, and then it will continue to countdown after that at the .5 sec countdown to green.

If the faster dialed car does not want to see the cross over light, all he/she needs to do is place an “N” after their dial-in. The clock operator then types this “N” into the system after the dial-in. A negative sign will appear on the scoreboard in front of the dial-in signifying that the CrossTalk has been disabled for that pair. The tree will then operate in the standard full tree count down mode.

This allows a much cleaner look at the top light for both drivers, than top of the shade removed and light turned to the center. A driver using the option of two hits, can still do so by adjusting to a top hit and 2nd hit on either the second or bottom amber.
