Just purchased a set of moldings for my 68 GTX. Rears fit ok but fronts have a large gap at the bottom front and rear. Also I noticed they are not drilled?? Only 2 holes are drilled at the top of each molding. Whats up with that?? So not only do I have to shape them to fit I have to try to mark and drill them to oe holes. Someone making a better repro?? Thanks Larry J

who makes em?? I'm looking for my 69.5 bee, and see em from metro and goodmark, both suppose to be USA made, and dales cuda shop also sells em...

I had heard from others that the re-pops don't fit like a glove...

Tried to order them from Dales but not in stock. So I ordered them from Metro. I have done a lot of GM and Ford stuff. They are all pre-drilled and not many issues with fitment. But looking on the web it looks like the repros for most Mopars have issues?? Any suggestions would be helpful!!!!! Thanks Larry J

No I guess the real question is?? Is this as good as they get?? I have seen others comment about these moldings before. Of course I asked about fitment before ordering and was told they never had any issues?? But what are they going to say. They fit badly and you have to drill all the holes yourself. LOL!! Thanks Larry J

Does anyone know who makes the ones that are pre-drilled? Thanks Larry J

Metro's are the best available as of now. Yes you have to drill them and they are not that hard to do and the fit is not that bad if done with some care and taking your time.

I located the two top original holes and then put screws into them and then used some small visegrips with soft pads taped to the jaws to prevent scratching. You could use a few small "C"-clamps to hold them to the fender well lip and get maybe better results but the idea it to get them into the best fitment then mark the trim one hole at a time through the original fender well holes with a permanent marker, remove the trim, put a center punch mark at the marked spot and then drill the trim. Put the trim back on with another screw in the just drilled hole and continue on the other side of the center screw and work radially back and forth of the center.

It takes a little time but it worked for me with the Metro trim and hardware from B/E&A Restoration, Ohio.

IMO it's the best available GTX trim out there now and the hardware from B/E&A is a no brainer for quality.

I bought a set for my coronet, and test fit them. They are not perfect for sure. I think the reason they are not predrilled is so that the fit can be made right with out the hole location being the issue. Mine are pre-drilled, and I will be drilling some additional holes either in the vendor or the trim.

Its not primer its perma gray.

I just got done dealing with the same crap.I bought from metro, the rears were ok the fronts were horrible, the passenger front was the worst.I sent two back hoping to get nicer ones.I ended up taking my time and putting them on one screw at a time. There ok at best,I even added a extra screw or two where needed to help hold contour but still not impressed.I wish I would have just left them off.I will say the girl that helped me on the phone was VERY nice and easy to deal with and sent me new ones with call tags for the old ones.
