Anyone with one of his front ends, how much front travel do you have with it? Got pics?

Super Scamp,

How is that holding up for you? How hard does yours land? I have never seen one with the lower trailing arm setup like that with a coil over conversion. What spindles are you running?

I am looking at this for an A-body we race. I will measure the travel on it tonight when I get home. My engine builder likes the MF unit for the ease of servicing the car, but hates the lack of travel, so I am investigating others.

I figure the $4,200 could be spent on either as long as it allows for a dragster style pan and removes the torsion bars and includes Wilwoods. Heck, I could live with the stock k-member if it was channeled out for a rack and dragster pan.

The car is a 4-link and lifts the front end about 3" to 5" comes down very nice. no problems at all. just put a real nice Race car frontend alignment and go racing. I use the 72-76 front disk spindles. Bob wanted me to use the 9" drum witch will move the front tires in another 1" on each side, but I went with the larger spindles.

With the new motor and more HP I'm putting more hit in the car, so we will see how she holds up, my guess would be Bob's front end will do just fine..

Mine's been in the car for three seasons now. Install and set up was fairly easy. car goes nice and straight down the track. I would highly recommend

How come I don't see a full dragster pan on it, or am I mistaken?

I don't believe a dragster pan will fit.

That right there is a problem for me....I have a MF unit, and except for a notch in the front, its a full dragster pan.

Here's a close up pic of the pan. The steering rack sits pretty close to my pan at the front, but i also have a main girdle that drops the pan about 3/4". If your pan is notched at the the front it may be o.k. If you would like i could take some measurements for you.
