I have an original MOPAR fuel pump on my NASCAR HEMI. It is a 6 valve design with two membranes and is also featured in the Chrysler circuit car catalog of 1974. It is identifed as an AIRTEX pump in the Chrysler catalog and it looks as if Clay Smith took over the design later on.

Both membranes have become very hard over the years and the top lever is somehow disconnected.

Would you know an expert who can rebuild such a pump ?

Its been a while since I have had any fuel pump apart, but from the picture it looks like a pretty simple design.

Give this guy a call. the old carb doctor and ask him about it. His name is Jeff and he normally doesn't do performance stuff, but he is a mopar guy and may be willing to look at it or at least direct you to the right person to get it fixed up right. Especially being such an interesting part.

If you call tell him Mike Ecks said howdy.
