Im sure this has probably been covered somewheres?. I cant find it on a search, so here goes.
Can someone tell me the correct location for a 70 RR dust trail stripe. Looking for the correct height measurement from say the center of the front fenders wheel arch to the lower edge of the dust trail. Same with the rear 1/4 vent outlet location. All the pix I see of cars on ebay and the web look different!
Figured I'll use a pinstripe as a level guide. Im using a Pheonix Graphics set.I read here to be sure the dust trail 'swirls' are correct [L&R sided]- Any other application tips?
cheers n thanks,Dave

Can't tell you how many I've seen with the dust trails done wrong, and it's annoying! Either too high or too low, or not straight. And the worst is the dust trail on the wrong side, upside down! Look for the "x" of the feet at the bottom like mentioned before! Now, I don't have that problem since mine are custom painted:

Well , I took a deep breath and laid the decals on today. I used a powdered string-line to get it straight, and all worked out well. Im a happy boy, considering I had 1 chance to get it right, that and the fact that I'm 1/2 way across the globe if I needed a replacement!. beep beep !
cheers for the help guys..Dave

last one
You can see the flash line where I had to trim the decal to match the black trail swirls. Was a little tricky but happy with the result. Applying them really changed its look, which was a little plain I thought.
cheers Dave

A little off topic and not to hi-jack but.... What was the deciding factor in the application of the dust trail and bird on the '70 RR? Or did ALL '70 RRs have the dust trail & bird? Thanks Frank

The Dust Trail was an extra cost option. Dave

My car came with the option but I guess they diddnt want to spend the $$ on the stripes at the last repaint.Adding them does change the cars character though!
cheers Dave
