Maybe you just don't like Eagle, that's your choice. But it's the Eagle cast 4" stroke cranks that have the problems.

Just broke my 4in cast crank from Eagle, got a new forged piece won't see any problems with this one
Casts are known to break at the 7-8 journal..

Eagle are a good choice

Too bad I never got quotes back from BPE or time on delivery....got tires of waiting

i had a set of BB eagle rods that had to be remachined to correct the big end is why i second guess eagle. plus i have read on here about the cast crank breaking. i sent BPE & compu flo a email asking for pricing. compu flo has a really good deal on a short block looks like less money to buy it than go thru the trouble of building one yourself.

My eagle broke between #1 main and 1/2 rod. Also had counterweights that were too big (hit pistons), tapered rod journal that just barely went under the low number by 1/10th and a pilot bushing hole that was an odd size and wouldn't fit any known pilot bushing I've ever seen. This was the 2nd crank they tried to send me as the first was screwed up when they tried to machine it. Then the joker from their problems department bounced me around before his boss finally told him to just send me a new crankshaft. That I gave away. The eagle 440 4.150 stroke crankshaft also had too tall of counterweights. I think their QC sucks and I won't send them any of my money unless there's nobody else that makes what I need. I want to look at the Ohio crankshaft stuff for chryslers but I already bought a Scat crank for my 408. It's beautiful.

I ordered my Scat forged kit straight from Summit. It was the same price as everywhere else.

Funny. Here's a pic of the Eagle crank from my 416, that I disassembled last Sunday. Looks like a twin of yours...
Luckily, there's no other damage.

I'm looking for a replacement, preferably not an Eagle this time.

Why do people keep buying Eagle cranks? They have to be laughing their asses off that people keep giving them their money for this crap they're selling.

I'm kind of surprised that they haven't tried to re-design their cast cranks so this stops happening.

They obviously don't care about their name or quality of their product once your money is in their wallet.
