That angle will decrease when the car is back on the ground, I thought the same thing when I installed my Alterkation unit. I would just trim the brace just enough to clear the control arm.JMO.

I thought the same thing too but found out that the ball joint was installed upsidedown.
I will post some interesting pictures later.
Bet there's some that think me wrong!
Lord knows I've been wrong before! ( just a few times )

the picture shows the front suspension hanging at rest without the torsion bar installed. The upper Ball Joint has reached LOCK (cannot deflect any further) it's at a critical angle that should NEVER be even neared, much less reached in front end travel Lower Stop to Upper Stop.
I will post pictures as soon as I can get to my Home computer that has the pictures.
I dont think this is ever a problem with OEM "A" Arms because you would think it hard and/or impossible to install the ball joint from the wrong end.

I can only guess that thats why I got all the front end parts at such a GREAT deal!......
come to think of it..... that guy was selling me HIS (this front end just doesnt work ) Nightmare .

Remove Balljoint, Flip Arm, Reinstall Balljoint, Rinse and Repeat

Now look at the fully raised/extended angle of the balljoint.

now that shes back on all four wheels i'm moving on to the subframe connectors, moving the springs inboard with a set of superstocks and mini tub'in it. All that needs to be completed before i can have a exhaust system custom fit.

i do have one dilemma with the cooling system i am juggling with.
I would rather run a 26" brass/copper 3 row radiator with a fan clutch and shroud than a Aluminum set-up with electric fans.
I'm looking at a Spectra CU332.
Haden 2765 fan clutch.
Am i heading down a dead end road?
Will it fit? Will it cool?
Fan shroud unavailable?
looks hoakie?

It looks like you've made some nice progress. No big deal cutting the trunk and tubs. Look at it this way, you'll just be correcting the factory engineering mistake. Any idea when you'll be done with the lift plate and dolly?

The Metal chrome Mopar Performance steel valve covers clear nicely Because of the tapered edges. Our valve cover goes on and off easy.

Done. I don't think I'll be pulling the engine out any time soon.
everything else goes smoothly.
I can drop them off or you are welcome to stop by.
Let me know what works best for you Dan.
Ricky
P.S. I might just have to change the Valve covers as suggested (thanks hunterstroble )to clear the A/ C blower motor. I don't want to spend allot of time modifying the HEVAC now. Too much to do.

I didnt have to work today so I got to play!

Why does my back hurt so much? I am only playing
Test fitting the Frame connectors I decided it best to remove the stock fuel line. The lines are like new under the undercoating. It must have been applied on day one. The floors are in fantastic shape!

Driver side frame rail need some modification before installing.
the parking brake cable crosses the frame rail so i made a tunnel
I read the front attachment point is not directly inline with the forward frame section. i going to fit them inline, kinda a slight angle looks better to me. pictures later.
