Posting the build of my '70 Swinger.
Started with a run of the mill Dk Burnt Orange with Black Bench int, 318 (swapped in a mild 360 4bbl), 727, Manual Disc, A/C, and 8-3/4 car. Basicly stock car still in the original paint.
The car entered the dreaded "Body Shop Prison Purgatory" <SP> in Atlanta for a 5 year sentence!
I found Atlanta Auto Restorations and they volunteered to pick it up from jail (other body shop) and finish it.
*This picture is of what it looked like after Atlanta Auto Restorations picked it up! The HORROR! Considering it was still in original paint and a nice driver when I left Atlanta, I was Shocked to say the least.*
My brother helped push me into the Big Block Swap path so here it goes!

Good luck with the build! The attachment isn't showing. You may need to resize it smaller.

Here is the easiest way I know. Open the picture and resave under a new name so you don't lose the original. Open the renamed picture in "paint" if it is a windows based computer. There is a "resize" option at the top. In the version of paint I have it is right next to the "select" icon. You can resize by percentage or by pixels. Then save the picture. Make sure the total size is smaller than the moparts limit. Hope that helps.

You know you got to finish under the hood before installing the motor right?

What have I gotten myself into? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/runaway.gif" alt="" />

The first 8 bolts always look so easy.
How can a business sit on your car for 5 years and feel no obligation to do anything? Amazing.

I can't afford this. mark

Can you say Crack?
Once I got the police involved I was able to get my car out.
Atlanta Auto Restorations was able to pick up the car without a fight and found a lot of missing parts and some pretty crappy work was done. Just one of the things they did that may explain their frame of mind was, while welding close the Dealer installed side mouldings holes, doo ti doo ti doo" Oh look, MORE HOLES! and proceeded to weld the quarter panel emblem holes closed too! ....." Now, that looks better"!

Let me back up a bit. I WAS living in the Atlanta area when this started. The Body shop that started the repaint, I suspect, became hooked on drugs and everyone knows about "Denial".
Yea, yea, yea, We will have it done before you move back to Florida I PROMISE. Everyone knows the rest of the story.

Five plus years later.....................
