on a side note....i have 2 sets of Bulldogs in the shop as well. one set is the last version prior to them raising the intake ports,
I'm curious as to what those flow, they might be the ticket for an exhaust manifold combo??? ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/punkrocka.gif)

Dwayne, you're scaring me here with those flow #'s on the EZ-1. It's looking like they're better than the SR's I ordered, at least on the intake. What's the deal?
thats EZ(pun intended )....they are better....on the intake side anyway. its a newly designed casting and they improved upon what they had before.
the exhaust port however is never gonna flow what an SR exhaust can flow. its just smaller, and lower.
Curtis, i assume that SR is MW size?? whats the finished runner volume??
Brad, wont be anything more done to these until they are sold, and then only what the customer is looking for.

Just out of curiosity do think that Indy will use this newly designed port in the SR`s as well?

Dwayne the EZ line looks very good, perhaps even an improvement to the original Indy line at lower cost; and that's what they should be. Now they should revamp the originals (they seem to have done that for the CNC line). From a cost standpoint Jeffs Modern Cylinderhead CNC Eddies still give the EZ and original lines (OOTB), a run for the money. At least from what I've seen at this point. I'm curious what your talent will take these OOTB numbers to. Thanks for posting the info. I always look forward to your postings.
Too many cars, too many parts, too little coin, too little space to work in, too little time left to make it all happen!
Update: down to one ride, still too many parts, a little more jingle in the pocket, gaining space, and it's going to happen this year!

cool #'s...
not that it really matters, but couldn't Indy at least come up with an actual "name" for their cyl heads? i gotta say 440-EZ sounds pretty lame, like something for convelescent seniors with incontinence.
70 pro street cuda...still a project

The muscle motors 440-1 heads seem to have some problems, just got a set in a few days ago, they have had the SMP port job, the valve stem height varied more than I like to see, the worst being .020 deeper, sure what happened must have been in the seat machineing or valve job, also the shims varied from head to head, one head had the standard .050 bronze shims, the others had a mixed matched aluminum .030 thick with another .020 steel black shim, Needless to say I will be contacting them Monday on this.

Just what we need another cylinder head that flows in the mid 340 cfm range. This is why (most) mopars cant run with the other brands in the fast or heads up classes. To bad all this effort isnt used to develop good blocks and cylinder heads that flow in the high 400/500 cfm range.
Think about this, .. the Indy EZ- CnC 325, they advertise flow of 370 cfm @ 28" with a 2.19" valve.
If that is going on a 4.5" bore, .. it needs a valve of 2.30" or so,. with that cross section & valve size it will EASLY go over 400 cfm ported & chamber work, .. race ported not a "budjet" port.
The other thing, .. the low & small exhaust port, .. in an open header car for drag racing isn't a bad thing, ..
Just my $0.20 worth.
I'm betting Dwyane will have some nice stuff from this head for you guys, ..

i looked at those EZ heads at the ICH show in indy. i was skeptical about the exhaust port and was surprised to see the flow numbers. the EZ is just a progression from the 440-1, the same as the sr's were. the real advantage is that they are 2 steps closer to a real bolt on. no need for external oiling on the small ports and they will bolt to existing exhaust systems. i have a friend who has sr's on a 64 belvedere and the header situation is a nusiance for a street car. on another note; i had a brief conversation with russ flagle. he stated that ICH is coming out with a six-pak manifold- carb set up for the big port heads. i believe its a 180 style with demon mech. carbs. this set-up will be availiable for hemi's also. would make a nice big cube street brawler.
