Spent an hour or two on the car this afternoon. Removed both torsion bars in a matter of minutes, and without the t-bar removal tool!! I love cut-off tools Removed the radiator and diconnected the wiring harness, fuel line, battery cables, grounds, throttle cable, etc preparing for the unit to come out the bottom. All I have left is the speedo cable, shifter cable, driveline, shocks, upper control arms and K member bolts. I bought casters to make a dolly for the motor/trans and for the front of the car. May get the motor/trans out tomorrow (if I don't go to my friends house and help him put up insulation and wallboard in his shop). Radiator removed Everything unhooked Can you see what's missing....yep no t-bars

OK, little more...not much. Removed hood latches, wiring harnesses, wiper motor, master cylinder/lines, steering column, etc.

Some of you have made very nice comments on how good of shape the car is (thank you to all) but I realized that I have only been showing you the good side of things. Well, I have a few pictures that show all the damage the car has (it's original paint so hopefully nothing is hiding). These pictures may change your mind about this car. In fact, those of you with weak stomachs may want to turn away now. Dent on left rear quarter Dent on left rear wheel opening Dent on right rear wheel opening Dent on top of car, right above windshield

I'd take those dents any day! Clean is clean and some small dents on the original paint are to be expected and welcomed! Here is my Green Go '71 340 Demon to compare colors with.

Couple of more hours doing bodywork that should have taken me 20 minutes. I guess it's a learning experience though From what I can tell both of the dents I have worked on should take less than .020" of filler to finish off...time will tell. Before After
