Has any one had trouble with the front seat foams fitting the new seat covers from Legendary? We replaced the driver seat but I'm not happy with it. The seat covers are so tight the seams are pulling. The seat covers had laid in the sun for hours before we started, so they were pliable. Since this is a convertible I didn't want the sun to bleach the threads. The top of the seat has an odd buckle and there are a couple puckers on the lower back and bottom seat. These are not on the original seat. I have noticed the same things in other Challenger's that have new seat covers. I'm guessing this is normal with the replacement covers? I wanted to trim down the foam but am leery as I didn't want to cause the foam to deteriorate. Any one had this problem? Any suggestions or thoughts on this?

Did you put the cover on over the original foam or did you replace the foam?
I've done the front buckets in both my '70 Challengers, one car about 10 years ago and the other last year, fortunately my original foam was in good shape in both cars. Both times the results were great with the Legendary covers. My buddy redid his '71 Challenger seats with Legendary covers in the late 90s and they look excellent too. I'd suspect the foam if you replaced it, or possibly the drivers side cover was a defective one.

I have been in the process replacing my 70 cuda leather seat covers as well. The leather is a little different as it will still have a few winkles even if installed properly. Yes, the new foam makes it tight. It reminds me of Rosanne Arnold in a size 2 spandex pants! . I did break one of the plastic listing on the top and had to repair it. The heat helps to make it fit. I used a plastic bag from the cleaners to help with the bottom and it make the covers slide over the foam better. I think the new foam is high density so it does not compress as well as the OEM foam. My foam was shot and not for the leather seats so I had to replace it. Mine does look good finished though. Call the tech line at legendary and they can give you some tips. The directions they give with the covers is not that good in the description dept. I like the videos they have but they need a video of the front buckets more than anything. I'll try and post a picture from my phone.

here are the seat covers I got for my 71 challenger from legendary, I bought their foam and installation kits, I didn't cut down the foam or anything just stretch it on and used the steam button on a cloths iron, its not perfect but it hasn't been in the sun yet, but its not bad for a 19 year old

I used new Legendary foam when doing the bottom seat buns for my 70 Cuda. I modified the foam slightly by hollowing out the area where the front rail of the seat frame fits into the foam. The Legendary foam was much thicker in that area than the original foam.

Pic below shows area that I hollowed out.

Here is pic of a finished bottom. It is probably a bit "overstuffed" in comparison to an original. The Legendary foam seems quite a bit denser than original so the foam doesn't compress as easily.

That's cool. That's the interior in my sixpack Challenger.
