OEM electronic. What are the issues of brazing up the slot limit on ONE weight and not the other side ? I have erratic {bouncing }timing on my light at full advance weight 34-36 . ?
Does it advance the amount you need... sounds like the intermediate shaft and dist shaft are lifting and dropping... a 1/2" collet on the dist shaft to control the end play should fix it

Small block .Advances to 36 ,then upon holding at ~3000 rpm ,then starts to jump around34-36 . I have the collar mentioned on my BB . I`ll have to try it on the SB .I was just curious as to the brazed slots ,I had heard others say to braze both weights but I couldn`t see why it would matter except for better distribution of load /wear ??..Thanks

Have you checked the distributor tang is fairly tight in the pump gear. I've put the distributor shaft across the back of a vice and given it a light rap with a hammer to make it more snug. Mick
