Looks good Ron....With that low stance, will the front wheels turn without hitting the fenders?
And are those custom hinge pins I see?

Hey Dan, it looks like it will turn ok, he is going to air bag it, the stock dakota wheels go in quite a bit.
he hasn't started on the bed yet, he has cut the sides off the dakota bed and left the floor and the bed mounting in tact, then he is going to trim the floor till the step side bed sides fit and then he is going to weld the bed sides to the dakota floor.
here are a few more pics that he sent me last night, he put the power brake peddle and booster in and even the brake lines lined up and check out how nice the peddle runs around the stock dakota column. Ron...

Very cool idea. I like how "simple" it looks to go together, even though I'm sure it's not.. My dad has a '53 5 window Dodge truck. It is sitting on a rotted frame..I would like to do the same to that.. Or similar..

When you decide to quit, THAT is the moment when you would've succeeded..

I am going up to his house today and will get some more pics and info on how its going.
Dan I am not sure what he is going to use for radiator but I will find out.
he had to move the engine and trans back 8" and he had to put a U joint in the steering shaft but everything else is falling into place. Ron...

Hey Ron!

You should see my buddies Tow Truck! (BTW His name is Ron too. )

It's a '47 Cab and front fenders etc., a '53 Long box on an '80 1 ton Dodge truck frame.

I've got pics on here somewhere.
