I just install a TF-2 Transgo reprograming kit and a A&A 5800 Rpm governor in my 727.
Now my full Throttle 1-2, 2-3 upshift is ok...
But 1-2 part throttle shift at 2500 rpm not very pleasant...
2-3 upshift is acceptable.
How can have a more lower 1-2 upshift

THOSE are the typical "issues" with a higher-rpm GOV package ....

Thanks...
I wasn't sure if I installed right the TF-2.

Mine shifts a lot lower than 2500. I can't remember which outer weight that I put in it. You can get it lower.

To much trans throttle pressure can also cause higher upshifts. Ron

Yes you might shorten the kickdown linkage & see what happens. It'd be easy to set back to where it was.

I'm using a Fairbanks kit in my 518, and have the stage 2 setup. I have about the same 2500RPM shift point.

I actually wish mine would shift a bit harder. Next time I will use the stage 3

Yep, even with the TF-2 and a governor kit a TP linkage adjustment will lower the part throttle shift point.

As per suggestions I shortened 4 turns the kickdown linkage...
I road test the Dodge Wow... 1 to 2 shift occurs at 2000 instead of 2500 Rpm.
More pleasant I would like to know if this modification affect the kickdown, now the transmission lever don't go to the maximum.

It's not necessary for the linkage to be fully back to kickdown. If it downshifts when you get on the gas then it's fine.

Thanks... When I road test it downshift no problems.
May be I can shortened more the linkage to have lower 1-2 upshift around 1500 Rpm

If you keep shortening the linkage you will eventually reach a point where it won't kickdown at WOT....at that point it's time go back to the last setting and call it good.
