Disconnect the battery, and then pull the radio.. Just takes 4 screws for the panel and loosen the rear support bracket. Now reach in and pull out the VR.. Takes about 10 minutes.. Just my $0.02... ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif)

First off I'd like thank God for giving me small hands and body so I can squeeze into tight places... Got it in. I started by going thru the radio opening. Boy was that stupid! No way can you even get past the first two gauges let alone fit at least a foot or so of your arm in a 69 B body radio opening. I removed the screws holding the faceplate on cause I remembered that it will give you about and 1/8 of flex or movement near the limiter area. Then I dropped the steering column bracket and the lower plastic steering cover. Worked my upper body up underneath the drivers side and reached up and removed the speedometer and that allowed me to grab onto the limiter with my fingers. I had to use a screw driver to pry it out from underneath the dash and that took about 20 mins. So it does take a little working it to get it out and the new one out but if your small enough it can be done. All in all it took me 40 mins.
