Those are some great looking pieces guys !! ...There are so many different avenues to take on the suspension components all one can do is to educate and take the route that best suits your intended goal...This site has a wealth of info with some real craftsmanship...

Looks great Quicksilver. I was impressed with the Eastwood clear coat. I thought it may end up too glossy, but you'd be hard pressed to tell that it's even there. It lays down nice too. I'm not the greatest with a spray can, but even hosing down the part with this stuff didn't create any runs or sags.

Does anybody know where I can find the foam gasket that goes between the disc brake splash shield and the steering knuckle?

I've checked his website and E-Bay ads. It looks like he sells every gasket I'd ever need, but that one. I have an inquiry in to him. Anybody else?

What's a good finish for parts that were originally left bare, like the UCAs, LCA strut rods, drag link, etc?

Hey, I see this is your first post !! Welcome to the board.. ... If you're going the painted route a "stainless steel" color is a good base coat....Seymour makes a stainless color with real stainless metal in it...Another choice is VHT all-weather epoxy...That's the one I prefer...It's a little darker than the Seymour paint....When you spray the stainless paint go for the coverage on the first coat then mist-coat the part for the rougher texture and drier look.....Now, here's the real trick on getting the painted components to look different from each other....Use the stainless as the base then mist-coat a darker color over it...Then use a scotch-brite pad to hit the highlights of the part...Check out this spindle assy for a 73 road runner...It was done using the VHT stainless epoxy then mist-coated with Eastwood's Black phosphate...... Click on the attachment for the bigger view...

That part has an Excellent look while protecting the bare metal!!! Really NICE job.

Thanks Big John. Next crazy question... There was a 1/4" shim under the rubber bumper for the left LCA. I don't seem to have another one laying around that might have gone on the right side. Does that sound familiar to anybody? Just a shim on the left LCA bumper?

Thanks, if there is two I guess I have another one around someplace. I just don't remember seeing one when I took apart the other control arm months ago. Time to start looking in the dark corners of the garage...

when i got my car, it had 14" wheels on it. when i took the suspension apart, it had a spacer on each side. i didn't put them back in, don't remember why.

what is the function of these, just to give less travel before contact is made with the bumper on 15" wheels???

Well, that's what I was originally told when I asked about those spacers years ago...But if I'm reading the details on that spacer correctly it may also be a reinforcement issue...Anyone else have any input on these ???? One thing for sure not all had them and I've been looking for another original set{on any model} in the boneyards without any luck{ to see the application}.. ...
