After installing repro door seals, and now the doors is hard to shut, but getting a little better after a few weeks being shut, I have new roof rail seals, they seem to be very soft like the old ones. My question is will I be happy with the new repro roof rail seals or use the old ones that are in real nice shape?

I know your problem. After the bird was painted, I decided to install two NOS roof rail seals I bought a long time ago when they were still available, but I could not close the doors. I decided to reinstall the old ones that are not perfect, but at least the doors close fine now. I'll be hunting for a good original set and maybe swap it for my NOS pieces.
