I have a "REAL" 6 cyl. Dart. Does that count? As for the race program, I think Jeff has it covered for all the N/ss and Hemi cars, except there is no special class for faded blue 63 Dodges.

I just got off the phone with Tri-State. It turns out they will NOT have an open test and tune Friday night. Gates will open at 4:00pm, Tech will open at 6:00pm and gate will close at 10:00pm. Camping is permitted and encouraged. Late arrivals may stage/camp in the grass spectator lot outside the gate. Gates will open at 9:00am Saturday. Security will be provided throughout the weekend.

In case this is news to promoters most of the hemi guys I know HATE the class runoff for trophies. For the most part they aren't close enough for the slower car to have a chance short of the fast guy red lighting or breaking. Plus the fact they are burning fuel and putting laps on the car for nothing but a trophy.

Only giving the quickest 8 hemi cars a chance at even getting expenses back will probably mean some of the slower one's will stay home I bet.

Just something to think about for future shows.

Don't get me wrong I hope the show does great ends up bigger then the one in 08, cause I missed that one. I don't plan on missing this one.

Thanks for the comments. As we get back on our feet, the program will continue to evolve, with more incentives for everyone. Right now, we can't post a $30,000 purse like we used to years ago. Big sponsor money and 500 race car counts are a thing of the past. We all need to support this event to ensure that it, and others like it, continue. You need to approach hobby racing as a vacation, where you have a chance of coming home with more than a T-shirt. BTW cars that don't qualify for the 16 car NSS field can run Pro for free.

Any Mopar powered vehicle is welcome. You can pit next to James Brown's 440 Maverick.

Maybe I don't understand this correctly, I have a 70 hemicuda, I would be in SS/EA.Are you only taking the fastest 16 cars in each class? Or all run in each SS class? Also is this heads up? or dial in for the class? Thanks,I am trying to make a decision if it would be worthwhile to race or just come to the show... Pic added

Of course it's worthwhile! Hemis will run each other for trophy on Saturday, heads up in their individual classes (SS/AA - SS/FA.) Sunday you'll run the 8 Hemis who qualified the lowest below their index. This will be a dial-in race. The overall Hemi winner will run the overall Max Wedge winner on a dial-in for $1000.00 Non-qualifiers can run Pro E.T. for free. There is also a Gambler's Race late Saturday afternoon.
