Quick question guys,

How do you like to clean and care for old weatherstripping? In this case the seals in question on not available new... have not been for years.

I was lucky and scored a set in pretty good shape... how should I clean them and "feed" them so the do not dry out and crack?

Also, one piece has two small tears... is there any way to glue them with a glue that will stay pliable?

I clean with dilute simple green and then treat with one grand
As far as gluing I think it depends on what is broken. If it's a hollow foam door seal type thing vs. a window seal each would be different.
Products that come to mind could be silicone, contact cement, weatherstrip adheasive.
